Student-Opportunities in the Advancement Office

The Advancement Office at Greenville University is seeking-student-assistants to support our fundraising, donor relations, and data management efforts. These positions provide valuable, hands-on experience in areas such as gift processing, database management, donor stewardship, and prospect research.? Student-assistants play an important role in helping us ensure that donors are thanked well, gifts are recorded accurately, and data is kept current so the university can build strong relationships with its supporters. Each position has a unique focus, but all contribute to the Advancement Office’s mission of empowering-students through the transforming power of a Christ-centered education.

The Student Gift Processing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Advancement Office by managing daily gift entry and ensuring gifts are properly recorded and processed. This position also provides administrative support for fundraising efforts and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Retrieve gifts from the mailroom and deliver them to Student Accounts for processing.
• Retrieve daily gift reports from Student Accounts.
• Enter and process gifts in Raiser's Edge NXT with accuracy.
• Record totals and reconcile gift entry records.
• Assist Advancement staff with campaign-related data and reporting.
• Assist Advancement staff with giving days.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in 6+ credit hours at GU.
• High attention to accuracy and detail in handling financial transactions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
