A Day in the Life

Are you passionate about sustainability and curious about how it influences business strategy, customer decisions, and innovation?

At Medtronic, sustainability is increasingly becoming a strategic business priority. We are looking for an ambitious Student Assistant to join our Nordic Sustainability function and support projects that shape how we respond to evolving customer expectations, market trends, and sustainability challenges.

In this role, you will work on strategic analyses, sustainability-related customer and tender requirements, AI-driven innovation projects, and business case development. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Nordics and Europe while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of sustainability, healthcare, and commercial strategy.

Internship details:

• Start date: 15 October/1st November
• Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
• Duration: 12 months with possibility to extension for another 12 months
• Working hours: 20 hours per week
• Work model: hybrid

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Support the analysis of customer requirements, procurement criteria and sustainability-related tender requirements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist in the development of business cases and value propositions for sustainability initiatives.
• Help conduct market research, competitor benchmarking and sustainability trend analysis to support strategic planning activities.
• Support sustainability projects through data collection, analysis, stakeholder coordination and presentation preparation.
• Assist in exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools can support sustainability objectives and business decision-making.
• Support the creation of internal and external sustainability communications, presentations and customer-facing materials.
• Help coordinate activities and information sharing across sustainability, commercial, marketing and business teams.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Political Science or a related field.
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organise and interpret information from multiple sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Would be a Plus:

• Knowledge of sustainability, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, or responsible business practices.
• Interest in emerging technologies, including AI and digital solutions.
• Experience with data analysis, research projects or sustainability-related initiatives.
• Proficiency in a Nordic language is an advantage.

Pay range: Bachelor: 170 DKK gross per hour ; Master : 204 DKK gross per hour
