Pay Rate: $10/hr
- Assist in Planning and Facilitation of Design Den.
- Staff Mayborn Museum Makerspace, Design Den, during open hours. This includes preparing supplies, set-up and tear down, facilitation, and testing and prototyping activities.
- Provide high quality customer service while communicating and engaging with visitors using making and tinkering facilitation strategies.
- Support Museum Engagement Spark Team student employees & occasional volunteers in Design Den, ensuring they are comfortable and well trained in the space.
- Work to keep storage closets and supplies organized.
- Monitor supply inventory and coordinate reorders with STEM Programs Coordinator.
- Assist in Planning and Facilitation of STEM Programs
- Help with events and programs (activities). This will include gathering supplies, testing and prototyping activities, facilitating (leading/supporting), set-up, and tear down.
- Evaluation, Observations, Reflection
- Research innovative ways to evaluate Design Den & STEM programs
- Take detailed observations at STEM events, both qualitative and quantitative, and assist in documentation
- Participate in weekly or bi-weekly reflection meetings to discuss tinkering practices and Design Den programming
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Assist with covering on Museum Engagement team as needed with general museum programming
