The Mayborn Museum is the exciting Hands-On Science and Natural History Museum on Campus. While working here you have the chance to engage with Visitors and University Educators and Staff in a fun environment that delivers quality customer service. The Museum Store is often the last stop in our visitor’s adventure, and we are looking for associates that want to be part of their memorable visit.
Job Functions:
Responsible for Opening and Closing cash handling duties.
Handle any customer service issues in the absence of another one of the store management team
Exhibit professionalism in all things including appearance, co-worker interactions, and visitor interactions
Troubleshoot issues with the POS system.
Greet visitors and deliver excellent customer service.
Maintain working knowledge about museum history and exhibits.
Answer frequently asked questions about merchandise.
Working in the Point-of-Sale system
Be able to lift 25 pounds
Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility
Provide excellent customer service to clients
Ability to prioritize and take initiative
