Previous Chapel Student Worker experience required.

The Peer Supervisor will support the Senior Chapel Coordinator by overseeing the Site Leaders assigned to them and the operations student team for all Chapel logistics. The Peer Supervisor will oversee their category of responsibilities (Chapel Worship or Chapel Prayers), the Site Leaders, and Student Workers under their care. In University Chapel Worship, there will be a Site Leader and multiple Student Workers at each service to support the Peer Supervisor in tasks such as TV/stage set up and take down, sound system and maintenance, pew ropes, service behavior, entrance and exit management, and attendance cards/QR codes. In Chapel Prayers, the Peer Supervisor will write liturgies, lead prayer services, grade attendance, correspond with student enrollees, mentor student staff, and pray with enrollees while creating and maintaining Chapel Prayers work schedules for Memorial and Robbins Chapel. The Peer Supervisor will perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Chapel Coordinator.
University Chapel Worship is shaped by a historical understanding of Christian worship that engages music from various church formats and cultures. Students will have the opportunity to lead in various ways and will hear sermons from ministers in the Baylor community and beyond. While each session will be informed by its context, the goal is that students will be formed by the worship routine, gain an appreciation of liturgy, and experience a sense of belonging from communal prayer and worship. The Peer Supervisor will spend most of his or her hours working on-site for University Chapel Worship or Chapel Prayers and will oversee a certain set of tasks and group of student workers.
