Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine is seeking a Student Worker to support the clinical research team. Under the direction of the Clinical Research Coordinator, you will assist with essential administrative tasks, including retrieving mail and packages, filing, scanning, and data entry.

You will also help with biospecimen processing and perform basic chart extraction to support ongoing clinical studies. This role offers valuable exposure to clinical research operations and is ideal for a student interested in healthcare, research, or administrative experience.

Hourly range: $17.90-$26.00


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to prioritize and organize projects through multiple phases. Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously with careful attention to detail
  • Skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, and ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff and administrators.
  • Ability to use good judgement when dealing with confidential or sensitive information
  • Oral and written communication skills to obtain and convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Ability to observe established office policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge in MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Reading skills to comprehend University policy and procedures manuals
  • Reading skills to comprehend University policy and procedures manuals
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal directions.
  • Registered UCLA student

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of University forms and procedures
