  • Inpatient and outpatient locations. 8-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts, weekends

Under the guidance of an Ultrasound Tech, follows established protocols and guidelines while performing a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Responsible for the production of high-quality diagnostic images needed to provide physicians with clinical data to aid in establishing a diagnosis. Provides good customer service when explaining any patient preparation, patient scheduling, and procedure instructions and processes. Communicates and works with Radiologists in a manner that improves patient care.

What the Ultrasound Tech will do:

  • Performs a wide variety of ultrasound diagnostic examinations in accordance with department procedures, under the guidance of a Radiologist
  • Assists in the production of diagnostic ultrasound images by interpreting and verifying physician orders, and proper use of equipment.
  • Assists Radiologist during ultrasound procedures.
  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks as needed.
  • Communicates examination results to physicians and patients as directed by Radiologist.
  • Assures quality patient care by promoting effective communication and teamwork through the organization.
  • Effectively uses available resources to provide a more complete and personally satisfying experience for all customers.

What the Ultrasound Tech will need:

  • Competent student in an approved Ultrasound Technologist program required.
  • Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
  • Minimum Completion of first half of clinical rotation in Ultrasound
  • Completion of new employee Student Ultrasound Technologist competency checklist.
  • Proficiency in routine and emergency procedures.
