We are looking for a Student Assistant in Group Sustainability. The role is based in Stockholm or Copenhagen.

About our team

Meet Group Sustainability. We have the overall responsibility for developing Nordea’s strategic sustainability priorities and governance, supporting our high ambitions and strong determination to be the preferred financial partner enabling Nordic transition together with our customers and society. To support our efforts, we are now looking for a colleague to strengthen our team of sustainability professionals.

Our team is located across the Nordic countries and consists of professionals who combine banking experience with sustainability expertise. You will be working closely with team members in Group Sustainability and with colleagues across the Group.

What you’ll be doing

This role is a great opportunity if you want to contribute to further developing and advancing Nordea’s sustainability position and understand the environmental, social and governance (ESG) implications for a financial services group arising from the societal transition.

You will be a key resource in further developing our capabilities to integrate sustainability in Nordea’s business strategy, addressing implications it has on Nordea’s operations and supporting our customers’ transition.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Supporting the Group-wide execution follow-up on Nordea’s strategic sustainability priorities and projects, in close collaboration with Group Sustainability colleagues
  • Ensuring a fair reflection of Nordea’s sustainable activities by participating in ESG ratings, peer reviews, disclosure related work and supporting internal communication
  • Collecting and analysing sustainability related data to enable informed decision making
  • Support in AI optimization projects and other hands on responsibilities
  • Support project management to implement Nordea’s strategic sustainability priorities

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you are passionate about driving change in the multi-layered complexity of the sustainability transition and its related impacts, risks and opportunities on Nordea’s operations and value chain.



You are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment characterised by high ambitions and a collaborative atmosphere with stakeholders across the Group.

You have an analytical and data-driven mindset- You have a can-do attitude, and you like challenges which offer you professional growth opportunities. You have already gained some experience from addressing complex issues, and would like to get further exposed to them

Your background and skills include:

  • Have a positive mind-set and an outgoing personality
  • Can handle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Are self-motivated and engaged
  • Have a strong interest in sustainability

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have a good understanding of Ai and digitization
  • Have full working proficiency in one Nordic language as well as English
