As the Student Support Clinician, you will work with college students (adults) seeking support services at Mercer County College who may have symptoms of mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Oaks Integrated Care has partnered with Mercer County College to offer their students supportive and compassionate brief counseling services as well as provides psychoeducation workshops to students and professors. These can include topics such as wellness, coping skills and mindfulness. Services can also assist students to develop tools to manage challenges at school, home, work, and in the community. Mercer County College Connects offers these supportive services through screening, assessment, community linkage to physical and behavioral health treatment.
Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours; Monday- Friday
Pay: $55,000
Ability to provide Person Centered, Family-Centered, and Trauma-Informed Care; Understanding and commitment to supporting recovery and resiliency; Ability to assess and interpret information related to population; Knowledge of the symptoms of the disability/disorder and ability to recognize exacerbation of symptoms; General understanding of treatment needs; Knowledge of available treatment resources and appropriate use; Population-specific communication skills; Understanding of Care Coordination; General knowledge of housing subsidies and management of the subsidies.
