Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Our primary
responsibility is to provide support to your fellow Belmont Students as a part
of a professional team. Student Success and Flourishing Suite 214 consists Career & Professional
Development, GPS, International Student Services, and Assistant Provost of
Student Success and Flourishing. The
Student Office Assistant will support the administrative team by performing a
variety of clerical and office tasks. This role is designed to provide students
with practical experience in an office environment while balancing their
academic commitments.
Staffing welcome desk and assist all offices with office operations, including:
- Serving as first point of contact when students and visitors enter the office for assistance.
- Answer the phone and direct all calls.
- Handle
incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. - Scheduling appointments and providing clerical support as needed.
- Connect students with other members of the professional staff.
- Understanding student needs as they present, complete assigned project work.
- Expectation to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications for the Student Office Assistant:
- Must have FWS Award to apply
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills. - Strong
verbal and written communication abilities. - Ability
to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks. - Reliable
and punctual with a strong work ethic. - Ability
to work well with others and provide excellent customer service. - Maintain
a professional demeanor in the office environment. - Ability
to handle sensitive information appropriately.

experiences and interest show:
- Opportunity to work with other Belmont administrative and academic departments.
- Assist with social media and marketing. Graphic design experience is a plus.
- Assisting marketing ideas, heartfelt student outreach, printing newsletters, etc.
- Creating social media campaigns.
- Assist with data collection and entry.
- Provide logistical support for events.
- Helping with miscellaneous office duties as needed.
Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required Experienceno experience required.
