General Description:
Under immediate supervision, performs diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures as directed by physician and approved by instructor/preceptor.
Essential Responsibilities:

Assists in performing diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures using a variety of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, techniques and practices used in the invasive and/or non-invasive care setting.
Prepares patient for procedure.
Under immediate supervision, performs procedures using equipment technologies, techniques and practices associated with primary specialty for which the student is being trained in accordance with established clinical practice standards, guidelines and protocols.
Maintains department records, reports and files.
Orders and stocks all supplies and ensures procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient.

Education:
Currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program
Experience:
N/A
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
BLS must be current upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures.Ability to operate equipment associated with primary specialty in which the student is being trained.Ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and other staff members; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
