Job Description
The FPB School of Nursing Student Services Department is seeking a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented undergraduate student to join our office as a Federal Work Study Student status is required. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in a professional office environment while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Student Services team. The student will assist with a variety of administrative, outreach, and event-related responsibilities that contribute to a vibrant and welcoming campus community. Work will primarily take place in the Health Education Campus (HEC), with some remote work opportunities available 2 .
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration
- Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents
- Draft, proofread, and send emails on behalf of the department as directed
- Support staff with scheduling, meeting preparation, and note-taking as needed
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of newsletters and departmental communications
- Maintain an organized and professional office environment
Event Planning & Logistics
- Assist Student Staff with the planning, coordination, and execution of Student Services events and programming
- Support event set-up and clean-up, including arranging furniture, materials, and signage
- Help manage event logistics such as greeting and directing guests, monitoring attendance, and coordinating seating arrangements
- Assist with the preparation of event materials, name tags, programs, and other supplies
Outreach & Communications
- Engage in outreach efforts to students, faculty, and staff via email and social media platforms
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content to promote Student Services programs and events
- Help maintain department communication channels to ensure timely and accurate information sharing
General Support
- Attend departmental meetings and assist as needed
- Contribute to newsletter content creation and editing
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising staff member
Work schedule is 10-15 hours per week for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
Hourly rate range is $13.81 - $15.00 per hour
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the university
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study (as determined by the Financial Aid Office) 1
- Must have One (1) Year of related experience in working in an Office setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
- Conscientious and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using standard office technology including Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms, and social media tools
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude when interacting with students, staff, and faculty
