Job Description

We are looking for a motivated student to join our Flavours Production Analytical and Sensory Laboratories for a 12‑month internship. In this role, you will perform a variety of standardized laboratory tests, support daily sensory panel preparation, and contribute to key quality control activities across both laboratories.
This placement is ideal for students pursuing studies in Science, Food Technology, or Laboratory‑based disciplines who are eager to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your time will be split approximately 50/50 between the Analytical and Sensory Laboratories.

Analytical Laboratory

• Perform standardized laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products, including:
  • Density
  • Refractive index
  • Bulk density
  • Ethanol %
• Record and manage test results in SAP and relevant spreadsheets.
• Prepare and book samples for testing: intake into the system, weighing, and labelling.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of laboratory consumables in line with GMP requirements.
• Assist with other analytical tasks as needed (training provided).

Sensory Laboratory

• Prepare and manage multiple daily sensory panels to ensure continuous workflow.
• Use the flavour retainer system for sensory evaluation preparation.
• Order retain samples from affiliate sites when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Self‑motivated individual able to work efficiently in a busy laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Good verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Currently studying a Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or similar laboratory‑focused degree.
