Whether you are making our staffing systems more efficient, planning for our growth, building relationships on college campuses or cultivating the next generation of computer scientists, you have an eye on the staffing needs of Google and the broader hiring landscape. Dive into the exciting world of talent engagement! Join our dynamic PhD Programs and Recruiting team as a Student Researcher Program Manager and serve as the strategic owner of the Student Researcher Program (SRP) across EMEA.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between the external academic world and Google’s most advanced research teams, including DeepMind and Google Research. You will move beyond execution to architect the future of the program, from influencing demand with senior technical leadership to designing high-impact engagement strategies for the world’s most interesting PhD talent. You will represent the program at premier global research conferences and lead the strategy for community building, ensuring that Student Researchers have a experience through curated events, mentorship, and an internal PhD Council.

Great just isn't good enough for our People Operations team (known elsewhere as "Human Resources"). We bring the world's most innovative people to Google and provide the programs that help them thrive. Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee high-profile engagement initiatives, including PhD Summits, university events, conferences and technical sessions.
  • Partner with employer brand and technical leadership to strengthen Google’s position as a destination for PhD and research talent. Build relationships across the academic and research ecosystem to support long-term talent engagement.
  • Own the end-to-end operational strategy for SRP in EMEA. Partner with global counterparts to ensure the program scales effectively to meet the business’s research needs.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Research, DeepMind and Product Area leadership, providing insights on talent trends, program needs and SRP health. Partner with Vendor Delivery Specialists (VDS) to ensure effective and timely delivery of talent.
  • Own the EMEA host experience, including training, resources and ongoing support. Build a high-touch experience for Student Researchers throughout their tenure.
