Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Provide research and technical support to Dr. Cibrian by assisting with software development, data analysis, mobile and ubiquitous computing technology evaluation, and assistive technology development. Contribute to research projects through programming, testing and troubleshooting devices, analyzing and summarizing data, participating in team meetings, and supporting the successful execution of ongoing research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update software programs and applications.
  • Conduct data analysis and summarize findings.
  • Test and evaluate mobile and ubiquitous computing devices.
  • Assist in the development of assistive technologies.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to project activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Little to no prior experience required.
  • Ability to learn and apply departmental processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience programming for iOS applications.
  • Experience developing applications using Unity.
  • Understanding of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) concepts and practices.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and user-centered design.
