Functions as a Student Research Assistant to provide support of daily operations in a research laboratory within the Department of Neuroscience; assists with research activities under direct supervision; assists with collection of and organizes research data; prepares media, solutions, and reagents for use in experiments; performs and maintains cell cultures; conducts library research; washes glassware used in laboratory; autoclaves (sterilizes) glassware, tools and equipment as needed; assists with inventory and maintenance of research supplies.

Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired

High School Graduate or equivalency required; must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at OSU; knowledge and understanding of biology, chemistry and basic science research techniques and equipment desired.
