
The Midtown Collaboration Center (MCC) is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and proactive Student Receptionist Concierge to support daily front desk operations and ensure a welcoming, organized, and well-maintained environment for guests, tenants, and staff.
This role is ideal for a student who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative setting and can effectively balance customer service, administrative support, and facility coordination. The pay rate for this position is $15 /hour.
Front Desk & Guest Experience
Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and assisting guests, tenants, and visitors
Answer general inquiries and direct guests appropriately
Ensure all non-event visitors sign in upon arrival
Communicate building policies and procedures to guests and staff
Administrative & Communication Support
Monitor and respond to the IPCHFrontDesk email alias, including sharing announcements
Manage room scheduling through the EMS system, including approving requests
Update and maintain daily event information on digital displays
Assist with scheduling and communication across teams and MCC partners
Facilities & Operations Support
Conduct daily checks of café, conference rooms, classrooms, and shared spaces to ensure:
Cleanliness and organization
Proper room setup (chairs, tables, whiteboards, etc.)
Adequate supplies are stocked
Maintain kitchen and shared spaces, including light cleaning and restocking supplies
Report excessive messes, maintenance issues, or concerns to designated staff
Mail, Packages & Coordination
Check and distribute mail daily
Coordinate package pickups in collaboration with the MCC front desk
Maintain regular communication with MCC partners regarding events, guests, and logistics
Event, Technology & Access Support
Provide basic troubleshooting for office equipment (printers, projectors, etc.)
Assist with general technology troubleshooting in meeting and event spaces; escalate unresolved issues as needed
Support access control, including assisting with badges, door access, and coordinating with security when necessary
Coordinate access for events occurring outside standard building hours
Additional Responsibilities
Print and post weekly room signage (door inserts/cards)
Support special projects and additional office tasks as assigned
