Job Description

Radiance Peer Ambassadors provides support and resources for Ursinus’s LGBTQ+ community to ensure all students, staff, and community members feel safe and accepted in their living, working, and learning environments.

Radiance Ambassadors serve as peer connectors for students and are members of the student staff in the Institute for Inclusion & Equity. RPC Ambassadors dedicate 4-6 hours per week supporting current and prospective students via Microsoft Teams that have questions about lgbtq+ resources and life at Ursinus. In addition to virtual/in person office hours, RPC Ambassadors promote Radiance Peer Connections and services.

Responsibilities:

This work includes but is not limited to planning and organizing community building events and projects such as updates on the website, flyers/promotion et cetera

Requirements

  • Current full-time student at Ursinus College
  • Have a commitment for inclusion and equity at Ursinus
  • Be organized and responsible
  • Feel comfortable expressing ideas and working with various groups
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude to create an atmosphere of belonging
