Student Quality CoordinatorOur internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for a 4 month co-op position starting in September 2026. This position will be based out of the Edmonton, Alberta office and will require regular travel to Squamish, BC on a regular basis.

  • Create and update new procedures, training matrix, review RFP, Code of Construction and Standards.  

  • Work with the engineering team to address technical issues through Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.

  • Audit subcontractors' quality management systems to ensure compliance with project scopes of work.

  • Actively contribute to the enhancement of quality processes and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the business

Who We Need On Our Team

  • You are currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering program.

  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internshipandpossessa GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Ability to lead andoperatewithin an environment where change happensfrequently

  • Ability to forge, grow andmaintainpositive relationships

  • Exemplify the Ideal Team Player – Hungry, Humble, Smart

  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude

  • Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries

  • If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements, you maybe requiredto successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
