Located on a beautiful 71-acre campus, SACS is a non-denominational covenant Christian school with small class sizes and quality academics, coupled with a wide range of art and athletic opportunities which provide students with a Christ-centered education while fostering a life of faith and service.
The Student Programs & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing student programs, events, retreats, travel, and operational systems that support student life across all school divisions. This role ensures that all school programs and operations specifically dealing with students are logistically sound, well-communicated, and aligned with the SACS mission
This person shall be spiritually mature and shall instill a life of Faith, Character, and Academic Excellence in those around them, adhering to SACS Heart of a Lion Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultivate volunteer efforts in support of communication and marketing goals.
Attend as needed evening and weekend school activities and events.

Willing to participate in continuing education opportunities that will increase proficiency and job skills.
JOB DUTIES COMPETENCIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Programs, Retreats, and Events
Plan and execute major student programs in coordination with administration & spiritual life director including:
Retreats (ES, MS, HS, grade-level)
Interim Term
Orientation programs
Support school-wide events such as:
Special programs and celebrations (ex: Christmas on Mane, Spring Fling, etc.)
Service days (in conjunction with Director of Spiritual Life)
Additional summer duties may be assigned as needed.
Supports other programming such as Spiritual Life, Leadership Program, and other student organizations and extracurricular programs.
Coordinate schedules, facilities, staffing, vendors, and on-site operations.
Student Travel & Experiential Learning
Plan and manage all aspects of student travel, including:
Senior Trip
Domestic and educational trips
Field Trips
Retreats
Ability to travel on multiple student outings.
Coordinate transportation, lodging, contracts, communication, and logistics.
Work closely with finance on budgeting, billing, and payments.
Work closely with school principals on programming.
Coordinate with Assistant Head of School and College & Career Counselor on non-traditional learning opportunities (including entrepreneurship opportunities/student internship opportunities).
Operational & Logistics Coordination
Serve as the logistics coordinator for student initiatives across divisions
Ensure all event and program details are planned, communicated, and executed
Coordinate with facilities, athletics, administration, and external vendors
Lead or support operational projects such as:
Transportation
Use of space
Utilization of ARCC
Qualifications
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Education, Student Development, or related field.
Experience in student programming, event planning, student leadership or other related experience
Ability to create clear systems, timelines, and processes that support consistent implementation
Experience supervising students, staff, and volunteers
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate student programs and events
Experience in managing large-scale campus events from concept to execution
Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously while maintaining quality
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity regarding sensitive employee information with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
Strong technology skills with knowledge of standard software in Microsoft Office and a variety of programs.
Acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior and be an active member of a local evangelical church that aligns with the school’s essential beliefs, Nicene Creed, and statement of faith.
Must pass a criminal background check and have reliable transportation.
