Throughout your placement at Organon, you will be provided with the opportunity to support, develop, and improve our IT systems and processes.

The position available is within the Business Technology unit at Organon. The position is based in Cramlington, Northumberland at the Organon Manufacturing site. The Cramlington site has been a key manufacturing facility since 1975.

Organon is recruiting for an IT student to join us by the beginning of August 2027 for 12 months for a student placement to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and development of IT systems across the business.
  • Contribute to projects in digital innovation, manufacturing automation, lab systems, infrastructure and networks.
  • Lead individual projects with guidance from the team.
  • Analyse and visualise production-critical data to support decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve existing systems through change management and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Work in an Agile environment to deliver business value.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory IT standards, including GMP.
  • Apply Organon’s System Development Life Cycle and produce supporting documentation.
  • Assist with system integration and deployment of new technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Skills:

  • Studying a degree in IT or related field, entering 3rd or penultimate year, and returning to studies post-placement.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to meet deadlines
