PCIM Student Associate Positions
The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM) at Ithaca College, founded in 2008, currently finds itself in a unique position for rebranding, reengaging, and growth across the IC campus and Ithaca, at large. PCIM staff is thrilled to have this opportunity to develop its relationships and programming while honoring the legacy of its founders and dedicated partners. Our staff feels strongly about having current students involved in the process.
PCIM’s Mission: To engage media producers and students in dialogue and action about independent media, especially U.S.-based outlets producing content (across single- or multiple-content platforms) on issues such as equity, social justice, and sustainability.

PCIM is seeking to fill three Ithaca College Student Associate positions. Each position will require approximately 8–10 hours per week and will be compensated at the student rate. These roles offer an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting PCIM’s communications, programming, and outreach efforts.
Social Media Associate
The Social Media Associate will help develop and maintain PCIM’s social media presence. Responsibilities may include creating and scheduling social media content, promoting PCIM events and initiatives, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities to increase visibility and audience engagement.
Events and Outreach Associate
The Events and Outreach Associate will support the planning, promotion, and execution of PCIM events and outreach activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with event logistics, coordinating communications with participants and partners, promoting upcoming programs, and helping expand PCIM’s engagement with students and the broader community.
Website Content Associate
The Website Content Associate will help maintain and enhance PCIM’s website content. Responsibilities may include writing web content, including articles, event blogs, news and event information, ensuring information is current and accessible, and helping improve the overall organization and presentation of website materials.
Ithaca College students hired for these positions will be required to meet weekly with PCIM leaders, Mickey Huff and Marcy Sutherland, to prioritize tasks and report progress.
