The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Parks Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting the Parks Department in clerical, administrative, and operational tasks. You will gain hands-on experience in public service, park management, and community engagement. As the Parks, Administrative Assistant (Student), you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
Provide general administrative assistance, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with customer inquiries
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a motivated student working towards a degree or diploma in Public Administration, Recreation Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field and is returning to school in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong administrative skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. We are seeking an individual with superior communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, and excellent organizational skills.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely, and after hours (as required).
Satisfactory proof of schooling or return to school, may be requested.
