Are you a technically-minded artist who loves bridging the gap between art and engineering? Are you studying game development or technical art at a Swedish Yrkeshögskola and looking for an LIA internship where you can dig into shaders, tools, and pipelines at a cutting-edge XR studio? About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Art Intern to join one of our game teams for the upcoming intake. Technical artists at Resolution Games sit at the intersection of art and engineering – helping the art team work smarter, the game run faster, and the visuals look better.

As a TA Intern, you’ll support our artists and developers in keeping quality high and performance healthy across our XR titles. You’ll get hands-on experience with shaders, VFX, asset pipelines, and tooling in a professional production environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the art team with shader development, materials, and VFX setup in Unity.

  • Help identify and address performance and optimization issues across assets and scenes.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal art pipeline tools and workflows.

  • Participate in daily stand-ups and cross-discipline feedback sessions.

Requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Higher Vocational Education (Yrkeshögskola) program in Sweden with a focus on technical art, game development, or a related field.

  • Have hands-on experience with Unity (Shader Graph, VFX Graph, or URP/HDRP).

  • Have basic scripting skills (C# or Python) for pipeline or tooling tasks.

  • Understand real-time rendering concepts, asset optimization, and draw call management.

  • Have experience with 3D software such as Maya or Blender.
