JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Flow/Coordination -Coordinate and assist with the timely flow of patients and families. Monitor individual patient cycle times to ensure patients are seen and treated as quickly and appropriately as possible. Assist technologists with room clean up and turnover. Identify bottle necks and work independently or with a team to resolve. De-escalate those in need due to extended wait times or less than satisfactory experiences.
Environment of Care -Assume responsibility for an orderly and safe environment. Ensure and monitor a MR safe work environment, identifying unsafe working conditions and taking corrective action. Assure proper storage, and stock, of supplies. Communicate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe environment. Prepare exam and prep rooms, weigh stations and work rooms daily, restocking as necessary. Understand and adhere to all applicable regulatory standards.
Customer Service - Patient -Act as a customer advocate and strive to better meet the needs of, and to support, patients and/or families. Utilize a customer focus to complete assignments and/or interact with customers in a courteous, attentive and conscientious manner. Respond quickly to parent requests and concerns.
Safety -Maintain safety programs within the department/division. Ensure safety concerns are reported appropriately. Prepare patients and family for examinations.
Patient Care - Delegated -Assist with patient care, flow and/or procedures as delegated. Follow plan of care and assist in implementation. Prepare patients for, or assist with, procedures/exams. Assist patients with appropriate activities as needed.
To assist the department in the delivery of patient care management within the medical center dedicated to the care of the pediatric population and those with childhood conditions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Must be enrolled in an accredited MRI degreed program
