Information Commons is now hiring Information Commons Assistants for Fall 2026. IC Assistants help students, faculty, staff, and other patrons with basic information and research needs, provide basic technology support, and much more.
Roles and Responsibilities
IC Assistants work at both the IC desk at Irwin Library and the service point in the Science Library. They assist students, faculty, staff, and other patrons with basic information and research needs, provide basic technology and rich media support, and refer individuals to librarians when more in-depth assistance is needed.
IC Assistants are expected to maintain a regular, 8-10 hr/wk work schedule.

Compensation
Starting pay is $11.75/hour for up to 10 hours/week, with future possible pay increases based on time with the program and advancement opportunities.
