Summary
Charlotte Latin School is a fully accredited, coeducational, nonsectarian, independent day school serving more than 1,500 students in Transitional Kindergarten through grade 12. The picturesque campus encompasses 128 acres in south Charlotte. Since its opening in 1970, Latin has prioritized academic excellence.
Our founders envisioned a school that cultivates leadership and remains dedicated to the foundational tenets of a liberal arts education. Today, Latin is thriving and well-established as a model for leadership development, student-centered learning, and highly relational teaching.
The Student Leadership Development Teaching Fellow is a one-to-two-year appointment for a recent college graduate considering the fields of teaching, youth development, leadership development, and community-engaged learning as a lifelong pursuit and career. At Latin, the Student Leadership Development Teaching Fellow will have the opportunity to engage in various school-specific experiences with the same access to opportunities and professional development as full-time faculty. In addition to teaching courses in Student Leadership Development, possible experiences include sponsoring a club, coaching, attending conferences, and chaperoning domestic, international, Leadership Development, or Community-Engaged Learning related travel experiences.
Successful Student Leadership Development Teaching Fellows can re-commit to a second year in consultation with the Director of Student Leadership Development and the Associate Head of School.
