This Position reports to:

RD Principal Engineer

Corporate Technology Center located in Krakow is one of seven ABB research units in the world. Here we create innovative solutions for our products and systems. It is a unique opportunity for you to work on international projects in interdisciplinary scientific teams.

We are looking for an UX Designer Intern to join our Common UX team. Within this position, you will have an opportunity to take part in the design and evolution of our corporate design system.

Tasks

• Support UX activities across corporate and international projects.
• Create and maintain designs and prototypes in Figma.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of our design system.
• Help prepare and maintain UX and design documentation.
• Support designers with research, ideation, visualization, and other day-to-day UX tasks.
• Explore and experiment with AI tools and emerging approaches in UX design.
• Collaborate with designers and colleagues from different countries and disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and team discussions.

Requirements  

• Good knowledge of Figma and confidence working with digital design tools.
• Interest in UX design, design systems, and scalable design practices.
• Understanding of design documentation and the ability to structure information clearly.
• Curiosity about AI and its potential applications in design.
• Good English communication skills — English will be used for daily communication.
• Willingness to learn, experiment, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks.
• A collaborative mindset and interest in working with an international team.
