In this role, you will assist with program activities, observe clinical interactions, and support treatment processes while adhering to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and program expectations. Key Responsibilities:
· Observe and participate in behavioral health services under supervision
· Adhere to professional conduct standards, confidentiality laws, and ethical guidelines
· Participate in staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and training sessions as requested
· Assist in identifying client needs, strengths, and areas of concern within the treatment process
· Document and report observations regarding client behaviors and interactions
· Co‑facilitate educational, recreational, or therapeutic group activities
· Assist with admissions and orientation processes, including vital signs, safety searches, and specimen collection when applicable
· Monitor client activities and ensure accountability and safety
· Maintain awareness of precaution protocols and ensure proper documentation
· Assist with screening and monitoring detoxification clients when applicable
· Serve as a positive role model and represent the organization professionally
· Participate in staff development and contribute to overall program operations
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Nursing, or higher‑level program for internship or practicum eligibility
Additional Qualifications:
· Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to establish rapport with clients and work effectively with diverse populations
· Knowledge of confidentiality laws related to mental health and substance use services
· Ability to follow direction and work under supervision
· Basic computer proficiency and ability to use electronic systems
Physical Requirements
· Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
· Ability to perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and documentation
· Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking or standing
· Ability to meet the physical demands of a sedentary work environment
