Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Intern provides support across the recruitment lifecycle for campus staff and student roles. This entry-level position assists with posting jobs, scheduling interviews, maintaining applicant tracking system (ATS) records, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The role is designed to build HR and recruiting skills while contributing to Butler’s hiring efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with posting job openings in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Schedule interviews and communicate details to candidates and hiring teams
  • Prepare and send template offer letters
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation logistics (e.g., preparing packets, checklists)
  • Maintain and update ATS records to ensure data accuracy
  • Provide general administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team
  • Participate in special HR or recruiting projects (e.g., job fairs, campus events)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Butler University student (sophomore level or higher preferred)
  • Interest in Human Resources, Business, or related fields
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior administrative or customer service experience (campus job, volunteer role, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint)
  • Interest in pursuing a career in HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition
  • MG 360, Organizational Behavior
