STUDENT ACCOMMODATION SECTION

The Office of Student Affairs invites applications for the post of Student Housing Officer in the Student Accommodation Section, which manages around 3,700 on-campus residential places and provides comprehensive residential education in the context of whole-person development to students. A committed and capable individual is sought to play a key role in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive living-learning environment for student residents.

Student Housing Officer (25260717)

The appointee is expected to be a highly self-motivated individual who will provide administrative, logistical and clerical support to the Admission and Residential Education Team within the Student Accommodation Section. The role involves extensive engagement in resident communication and support for residential education initiatives. Working outside normal office hours may be required on a need basis.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Team in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of residential education programmes, training sessions, and activities;
• Provide guidance to student‑led initiatives and events;
• Coordinate with student leaders in delivery of residential education;
• Encourage student participation and build rapport with student residents;
• Manage records of activities and attendance;
• Prepare regular statistics and reports for senior management;
• Provide administrative and operational support to hostel management and development; and
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or above;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions and/or student residence settings;
• A genuine interest in student development, with strong organisational and people management skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua;
• A strong sense of responsibility, sound judgement, and problem‑solving ability, with the maturity to work independently; and
• Proficiency in graphic design software, video editing software, standard office applications and information systems.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a two‑year fixed‑term contract. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
