Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, and the APRN manager, the Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides patient-centered medical care for all eligible students at the University of Connecticut. The APRN provides clinical care in an ambulatory care environment delivered with a public health equity focus, advocating for improved access, quality and cost-effective care. Provides professional clinical medical services, including acute episodic illness and/or injury, chronic disease management, and health maintenance. With general supervision, functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a permanent position that can be filled at a 9-, 10-, 11- or 12-month part-time basis. The ideal candidate will work five days a week on a 9-month academic year basis, working from mid-August through mid-May annually, with paid leave during the summer months. Days may include occasional shifts extending to 6 pm and include every other Saturday as part of a rotation during the academic calendar. A reduced weekly schedule could be considered for 10, 11, or 12-month positions. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
