Job Description:
The Division of Enrollment Management’s Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is seeking a Student Financial Aid Coordinator I to help students access the resources they need to succeed. You’ll manage custodial scholarship payments, process funds from outside organizations, support federal aid awarding, review student eligibility, and serve as a helpful point of contact for students and donors.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scholarship Processing & Data Entry
- Review, process, and deposit custodial scholarship checks from outside donors
- Enter accurate scholarship item types and donor information
- Assist with processing ACH deposits from external scholarship donors and private loan lenders
- Review unpaid custodial scholarship awards and collaborate to determine appropriate disbursement or refund actions
Student & Donor Communication
- Evaluate and load external self‑reported scholarship awards
- Respond to student cases related to custodial scholarships
- Communicate with outside donors regarding scholarship checks or ACH payment discrepancies
- Generate and print thank‑you letters for custodial scholarship donors
Financial Aid Support
- Provide operational support by reviewing Federal Pell Grant awarding and Federal Direct Loan eligibility
- Assist with manual adjustments to student financial aid award packages to ensure compliance with cost of attendance and need‑based eligibility
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Participate in occasional travel for financial aid presentations and professional development workshops
Expected Salary:
$43,888 annually

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Prior student financial aid experience
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
