Job Summary

Video and still models

As part of the investment in our digital assets, Student Living are looking for Student Models to appear in photographs and video showcasing UoB Food Wallet, the catering package for students living in university owned accommodation.

Working with the Student Living team and Creative Media photographers and videographers, you’ll present an up-to-date, authentic and positive view of UoB Food Wallet to our student audience. Taking place approximately the week of XX November, we’ll interview you about the benefits of UoB Food Wallet, as well as capture you in catering spaces, to give a real taste of what it’s like to have the package and enjoy the food outlets across campus.

Main Duties

• We are looking for an enthusiastic and articulate student to feature in our marketing photography and to talk to camera about UoB Food Wallet.

Required knowledge, skills, qualifications & experience

We need UoB students who tick both of these boxes:

• You’ve had first-hand experience of UoB Food Wallet/ Student Living +
• You live or have lived in University owned accommodation

We are also looking for students who are:

• Engaging, friendly and willing to take direction
• We welcome applicants from all walks of life to represent the vibrant, diverse population of our University and city.
• No previous modelling experience is necessary but do let us know if you have worked as a model before, or if you’re an experienced blogger or vlogger.

Additional Information

• In this role, you can wear your own clothes but nothing heavily branded or with slogans on. Please dress for appropriate weather.​

The University of Birmingham restricts all students to working up to 20 hours per week during term time for a maximum of 13 consecutive weeks. If your application is successful and your course does not follow the usual academic term timetable (e.g.  PGT, PGR or PhD student), you and your supervisor must formally agree vacation periods if this role exceeds 20 hours per week. In addition to this, please be aware if you are an international student you will be required to apply to the Registry for the appropriate authorised absence.
