Job Description

The Bloomberg Terminal lab teaching assistant will oversee the lab during scheduled evening hours. The TA ensures that students have proper access to terminals, provides basic support navigating the software, maintains a professional study/work environment, and reports technical or operational issues to the appropriate staff member. The role is ideal for students interested in finance, economics, data analytics, or business who want hands-on exposure to Bloomberg tools in a low-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Bloomberg lab during assigned evening hours
• Monitor equipment use and enforce lab policies
• Assist students with logging in and navigating basic Bloomberg functions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of computer programs
• Report damage, outages, or other software issues promptly
• Communicate issues or problems to faculty/staff

Requirements:

• Must be a full-time student at Ursinus College
• Interest in finance, economics, business, or data analytics
• Reliability and punctuality are essential

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Bloomberg Terminal or certification experience is a plus.
