Purpose

Support the West Campus Ambassadors media and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule and publish social media and other promotional content. Help monitor our social media channels, responding promptly to comments and messages. Assist with developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms.
  • Help with in-person marketing initiatives such as tabling and West Campus community events.
  • Learn to identify social media trends and marketing opportunities to incorporate them and enhance the West Campus Ambassadors' online presence. Collaborate with the University Safety team to produce quality posts, press releases and other marketing materials.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student at UT Austin.
  • Understanding of social media management and content creation.
  • Ability to analyze and understand basic social media metrics.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Capcut or other creative software.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • U.S. work authorization is required.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing social media accounts
  • Intermediate graphic design and/or videography skills

$15.00 Hourly
