Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Student will assist the PhD Program Manager with projects for the PhD in Education program, including data entry, Internet research, scanning and organizing paper files to digitize records, program event invitations, assisting with reviewing updates to the PhD in Education Canvas Den, and other duties as assigned such as updating the PhD calendar, and uploading various forms, instructions, and handbooks. This position is 5-6 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry, data compilation, and document formatting.
- Conduct internet research to support departmental projects and initiatives.
- Scan, organize, and maintain paper and electronic files.
- Assist with program event invitations, event preparation, and related administrative support.
- Review and update content in Canvas Den.
- Provide clerical and administrative support for departmental operations.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

- Ability to retrieve and verify accurate information.
- Ability to learn and apply departmental processes, procedures, and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues effectively.

- Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and dress.
- Familiarity with internet browsers, web-based applications, and online search tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and shared drives/folders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Familiarity with Canvas learning management system.
- Experience with Concur and/or travel and expense reimbursement processes.
- Experience using Dropbox for file management and collaboration.
- Familiarity with Poll Everywhere and Qualtrics for surveys, presentations, and data collection.
- Proficiency with Zoom and other virtual communication platforms.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software, systems, and technologies.
