As part of our project with the startup QuSine, we are looking for a Working Student – Opto-Electronics. In cooperation with QuSine, we are developing groundbreaking technology for high-precision RF signal generation, achieving accuracy that surpasses conventional approaches by orders of magnitude. Be part of change

• Assisting in the development and characterization of opto-electronic components and systems
• Supporting laboratory measurements, including optical, electronic, and RF-related tests
• Helping with debugging, test setups, and prototype validation
• Analyze measurement data to identify performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues
• Participating in design reviews and interdisciplinary technical discussions
• Contributing to documentation, test reports, and experiment protocols
• Working in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment

What you contribute

• Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, or a related field in Berlin/Brandenburg
• Good understanding of opto-electronic components (e.g., lasers, photodiodes, modulators)
• First experience with laboratory work and measurement equipment is a plus
• Interest in high-tech hardware development and hands-on experimentation
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team
• Good communication skills in English or German
• Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days per week at the Fraunhofer HHI Accelerator at Silicon Allee (Berlin)
• Additional desirable skills: Experience with optical setups or fiber-optic components

The position is initially limited to one year. An extension is explicitly desired.

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
