Job Description

Are you a student with a flair for organisation and a sharp eye for detail? Do you want to gain hands-on administrative experience in a dynamic and international environment? Then you might be our new student assistant.

The job

DTU Space Ventures promotes the commercial utilisation of space in Denmark. We support Danish companies with business development, funding, network and resources to help them take advantage of the rapidly growing commercial opportunities in space applications. We are home to the European Space Agency’s (ESA) two centres in Denmark: the ESA Business Incubation Centre Denmark, which supports startups, and the ESA Technology Broker Denmark, which supports established companies.

As our new student assistant, you will work closely with our administrative coordinator and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. All tasks are carried out under supervision and with guidance, and you are not expected to make independent decisions or take on responsibilities beyond the scope of the tasks described. Regular check-ins and day-to-day oversight ensure that your work is performed correctly and in line with departmental needs.

Your tasks will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the administrative coordinator
  • Supporting the coordination of internal meetings, including scheduling and practical arrangements
  • Assisting colleagues with settling expenses in Fusion
  • Keeping the office organised and maintaining a good working environment
  • Ordering office supplies and other items as needed
  • Taking notes during internal meetings

Our expectations of you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is structured, reliable, and service-minded
  • Has good communication skills and works well in a team
  • Is comfortable with standard office tools and digital administrative systems
  • Can manage multiple tasks and follow through with attention to detail

A bachelor’s degree is not required. The tasks are of a practical and administrative nature and can be carried out based on general organisational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with standard office tools and procedures.

What we offer in return

You will become part of a small, dedicated team working in an international environment at the forefront of space innovation. We offer a flexible and informal working environment, with room to learn and grow.

Salary and appointment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat).

The position is based at DTU (main campus, Lyngby).

Working hours are approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods. The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
