At the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Aachen, we are creating the production of the future with more than 450 employees – digital, sustainable and resilient. In the group »Lab Automation«, we deal with the automation, optimization and digitalization of production processes for cell and gene therapies.

As a student assistant you support our team with bioreactor cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells and their quality control.

The job requires regular attendance at our institute in Aachen. The weekly working hours are at least 15 hours.

• Implementation of experiments for the optimization of stem cell production
• Collaboration in a publicly funded research project

What you contribute

• You are studying biotechnology, biology, medicine or medical engineering or a comparable subject
• Solid background in bioreactor cultivation and cell culture
• Initial experience in stem cell cultivation is advantageous
• A high degree of motivation, initiative, independence and team spirit
• Good language skills in German and/or English
