The Energy Informatics Group at the Cognitive Energy Systems department of Fraunhofer IOSB-AST researches and develops innovative solutions for sovereign and secure energy data spaces. Our work focuses on enabling trusted data exchange across organizational boundaries, supporting data-driven services, AI-based analytics, and digital innovation in heterogeneous and decentralized energy systems.

Be part of change

• Implementation and maintenance of responsive web frontends using TypeScript and JavaScript
• Collaboration with Java backend developers and integration of RESTful APIs
• UI/UX design for energy data visualization
• Integration of AI-powered frontend components
• Technical documentation and testing

What you contribute

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Basic knowledge of Java backend development (e.g. REST APIs) is an advantage
• Basic understanding of git and related workflows
• Good team Spirit
• Interest in energy systems, data spaces, and distributed architectures
• Very good English skills: German skills are an advantage
