Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Student Assistant to support the Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research. In this role, you will assist with a variety of administrative and office operations, including data entry, document scanning and filing, scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, distributing mail, maintaining office supplies, coordinating facilities requests, and supporting special projects as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable administrative experience in a collaborative academic healthcare environment.

Hourly range: $17.90-$26.00


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered as a UCLA student
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as printer, scanner, copier, facsimile machine.
  • Previous office experience. All Req.
  • Experience working independently with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and editing correspondence and written materials. All Req.
  • Ability to multi-task under deadline, balance competing priorities and solve problems creatively.
  • Knowledge of PCs, windows operation system, and related word processing and spreadsheet
  • software (such as MS Word, Access, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of documents.
