  • Medical School

  • Part-time (40%), fixed-term position until February 2028

  • Base salary will be in the range $85,451 - $94,983 + 17% super (HEW Level 5)

  • Based at our Herston Campus

As a Student and Academic Administration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, responsive administrative services while acting as a trusted point of contact for students and staff. This is a dynamic and varied role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and is motivated by creating positive experiences through accurate, efficient and student-centred service delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver timely, accurate advice and support to students and staff in line with University policies, procedures and legislation

  • Process a broad range of requests, draft and complete documentation for students and graduates pursuing international certification and residency opportunities.

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and currency of information published across University systems, websites, and official materials, including study guides, faculty webpages, and student-facing resources.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing processes, maintaining data accuracy and supporting system and workflow enhancements

About You

  • An undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and training

  • Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly develop knowledge in student and academic administration processes

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage competing demands

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in written and administrative work

  • Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer service focus

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across broader organisational units

  • Experience working in a tertiary education or large, complex organisation, and familiarity with systems such as SI-net or CRM platforms will be highly regarded
