Job Description

We are looking for a Student Analyst based in Oslo or Copenhagen to join our Payment Strategy Execution & Partner Bank Team at Vipps MobilePay.

Our team has a broad scope: We own the development and execution of Vipps MobilePay’s payment strategy and work closely with our strategic partner banks and other key stakeholders across the payments industry.

As our new Student Analyst, you will work across our areas of responsibility and get hands-on experience with strategy, payments and strategic partnerships. We are a relatively small team of seven people, which means you will work closely with all of us, be given real responsibility and have the opportunity to make an impact from the start.

Our team is distributed across Oslo, Copenhagen and Helsinki, so collaborating across locations and working in virtual teams is a standard way of working for us.

The position is part-time, corresponding to approximately two days per week, and we will arrange your working hours flexibly around your studies. The starting date is flexible, and you can join us already from September depending on your availability.

What you will do:

In practice, your weeks can look quite different. One week you might analyse payment data and help build a business case; the next you could prepare material for a strategic programme, develop a presentation for senior management or join a meeting with one of our partner banks.

Strategy execution

We run selected strategic programmes across Vipps MobilePay, and you will have the opportunity to contribute throughout their lifecycle. This can include supporting scoping and planning, tracking progress and preparing reporting, as well as working on programme deliverables such as analyses, business cases, risk assessments and material for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Payment strategy and data analysis

We own the Vipps MobilePay payment strategy and are responsible for continuously developing it and ensuring that it is effectively communicated and implemented across the organisation.

You will support our strategic work by analysing data, identifying trends and insights, and creating visualisations and decision material. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to both shaping and executing our payment strategy.

Partner Banks

Our team is also responsible for Vipps MobilePay’s partner bank relationships across our markets. Our collaboration with the banks is extensive and covers both payment operations and strategic initiatives.

You will support the team with analyses related to our partner banks and have the opportunity to participate in partnership dialogues and strategic initiatives with them.

Who we are looking for

We imagine that you:

• Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Strategy, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Law or another relevant field, with at least 12 months remaining of your studies

• Are curious, have a positive mindset and enjoy taking on new challenges

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with numbers and data

• Are interested in strategy, commercial analysis and business cases

• Are highly structured and organised

• Are comfortable taking ownership of tasks and working both independently and as part of a team

• Can turn analysis into clear conclusions and communicate them effectively

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills

• Are highly proficient in English, Norwegian or Danish

• Are comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, current AI models and Databricks
