Desired Qualities

Student Aides should be comfortable interacting with students, faculty, staff and community members that visit our Advising Services office. Student aides should demonstrate professionalism, great customer service, strong communication skills, attention to detail and reliability. As representative of the Advising Services office, Student Aides are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous and responsible manner. In addition, confidentiality while dealing with sensitive matters is extremely important.

General clerical/office duties, answer phones, photocopying, schedule student appointments with advisors in our SARS scheduling system, run errands around campus. Assist supervisor/office staff with special projects as needed.

Education Requirements

In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and enrolled in at least six (6) credits per semester, three (3) for summer.

Experience Requirements

Ability to work independently, computer knowledge, good interpersonal skills, and flexibility on work hours.

Schedule Information:

Hours vary based on availability, must have some availability/flexibility to work during the following hours:

Advising Services Office hours:

Monday - Thursday 8am – 7pm

Friday 8am – 4:30pm
