Job Description

Student Affairs Assistant I (at the rank of Clerk II) (Several posts) in the Student Engagement and Leadership of Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref.:537293), (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefit scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary/ Renewal of contract is subject to the availability of project funding and mutual agreement.).

Applicants should possess a recognised degree or diploma with at least three years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions or the education sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, social media platforms, design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and database management. Applicants should be strong team players with effective communication and problem-solving skills, be meticulous, attentive to details, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently. Experience in student event organisation and programme administration will be an advantage.

The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support for the planning, coordination, and delivery of student community engagement programmes and service-learning funding initiatives. Responsibilities include programme promotion and publicity, student recruitment, database management, feedback collection and analysis, and logistical arrangements. The appointee will also serve as the first point of contact for student enquiries, providing timely, professional, and courteous support, and will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate programmes and event organisation. Other duties may be assigned as required.
