At AQA, we’re committed to advancing education and we’re committed to our people. As the largest provider of academic qualifications in the UK, we mark over 10 million exam papers each year and it’s our people who make this happen.
Join Our Student Advisory Group!
Have you recently taken your GCSEs? Are you studying for A-levels? Are you taking a technical or vocational qualification?
We’re inviting you to join AQA’s Student Advisory Group. AQA is the biggest provider of qualifications in schools and colleges. We set and mark papers for around half of all GCSEs and A-levels for just over a million students each year, and we’re expanding our work to offer new vocational qualifications as well. We’re keen to hear from young people to help us make better decisions. Your input can make a real difference.
What’s in it for you:
Some experience as a student representative in other groups is useful but not essential. We want to hear from students who are eager to contribute and help shape AQA’s work.
We welcome applications from all students. To help ensure our Student Advisory Group reflects the diversity of the student population, we would particularly like to hear from students living in the North of England, learners with SEND or an EHCP, students from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and students with disabilities as these groups are currently underrepresented among our members.
How to apply:
Click ‘Apply’ to submit a personal statement (of up to 500 words) explaining why you’re right for this role.
Representing young people from all backgrounds is important to us. If you need any support to apply or require any reasonable adjustments, please contact Lucia Mc Guirk (she/her) at LMcGuirk@aqa.org.uk
Closing date for applications is 5.00pm on 21 September 2026 We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so please apply soon. We look forward to hearing from you!
We have a preferred supplier list (PSL) in place.
Unsolicited CVs will be treated as a gift. We will not be subject to or liable under your terms and conditions for agency fees.
