Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Provide general admin/office support.
In this position, you will provide assistance for Office of Sustainability programs related to energy and water conservation and sustainability education. You will assist in planning and hosting sustainability education and outreach events and participate in on-campus waste audits. You will support the Office of Sustainability efforts to reduce campus-wide energy use by performing data gathering and analysis of electricity, gas, and water use data. In addition, you will play an active role in outreach by creating content for the Office of Sustainability Instagram account, website, and newsletter. In this position, you will also help identify sustainability initiatives that Chapman can partake in and be assigned tasks related to energy conservation projects. To be successful in this position, an applicant should be a self-starter, proficient in Excel, and driven to make Chapman a more sustainable campus.
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. General interest in sustainability + the environment.
Desired Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and writing skills. Experience navigating social media, newsletters, and graphic design applications such as Canva. Experience in data analytics and managing large data sets. Strong passion for sustainability and enjoys expanding the engagement of students in this work.
