Job Description Summary
Provide administrative support to the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism which includes parent & family engagement, alumni engagement, and Chapman support groups.
This position will be fully in-person, working out of the Elliott Alumni House on the Orange Campus.
Responsibilities
General Administrative Assistance:
Support the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism by greeting visitors, responding to requests for information and assistance, refer individuals to appropriate university offices as needed.
Electronic filing, mailings, and office organization
Conduct phone calls and emails to alumni and parents on behalf of the office.
Complete detailed tasks related to excel spreadsheets.
Other administrative duties as assigned
Event Planning & Operations:
Compile and manage detailed Excel spreadsheets tracking event attendee lists, ensuring accuracy and organization for event planning and follow-up.
Occasionally attend events to interact with attendees, help with set-up, and help with takedown at venues.
Required Qualifications
Detail-oriented to maintain Excel spreadsheets and correctly enter data updates.
Possess organizational skills to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
Ability to comfortably speak with parents and alumni over phone, email, and in person.
Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Comfortable with learning to use a central database.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
