Help Freeman students launch meaningful careers.

The Freeman School's Career Management Center (CMC) empowers students to discover meaningful careers and develop the skills, confidence, and connections needed to achieve their professional goals.

We're looking for Career Management Center Interns to join our team. Interns serve as one of the welcoming faces of the Career Management Center while supporting one of our three functional areas—Operations, Employer Relations, or Career Education. Throughout the semester, interns gain hands-on experience in higher education, project management, customer service, event planning, communications, and career development while helping Freeman students achieve their professional goals.

What You'll Do

Welcome and Support Visitors

You'll help create a positive first impression of the Career Management Center by:

- Greeting students, employers, alumni, and campus visitors with professionalism and warmth.
- Serving as the first point of contact for students seeking career support.
- Helping students schedule appointments and reserve interview rooms using Handshake.
- Monitoring consultant appointments and notifying staff when students arrive.
- Answering phones and routing questions appropriately.
- Maintaining organized, welcoming front desk and interview room spaces.

Support One of Our Functional Teams

Depending on your assigned area, you'll also:

- Support departmental projects and special initiatives.
- Assist with communications and marketing projects.
- Help organize and manage data.
- Conduct research and process improvement projects.
- Support employer engagement or career education initiatives.
- Assist with events and other projects that help students succeed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, professional, and enjoys helping people.
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable learning new technology.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Curious, proactive, and willing to jump in where needed.
- Able to work independently after training while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

- Good academic standing while pursuing a Tulane degree.
- Strong communication, organizational, writing, and data management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.

Schedule Requirements

- Up to 20 hours per week.
- Combination of in-office and occasional remote project work.
- Applicants must be available to work in the office every Tuesday from approximately 9:30–11:00 a.m. throughout the Fall semester. This is a required shift, and applicants who cannot consistently work during this time will not be considered.
- Additional hours will be scheduled around your class schedule and departmental needs.

Why You'll Love This Role

This position offers an opportunity to build professional skills while making a meaningful impact on fellow Freeman students. You'll gain experience in customer service, operations, project management, communications, event support, and higher education—all while working closely with a collaborative team dedicated to student success.
